Piñatex is made from the pineapple plant’s long leaves, a by-product of the existing pineapple harvest, resulting in biodegradable ethical material. This eco-friendly material is not only beautiful but also quite strong. In addition, it is water- and dirt-repellent. Clean it with fresh water, and you are good to go. Pineapple leather generally requires occasional re-waxing with a clear wax to help maintain the surface finish.

I like Pepa as she often uses used materials for her products.
I saw the gaiters on Pepa’s website, the silver variant, and instantly thought they were amazing. When I went to her workshop for a size fit, she planned to make them from pineapple leather. As a vegan I found this really cool. She custom made mine and deliverd great service; they fit perfectly.
Due to Covid and heat, I haven’t worn them yet on stage, for which I bought them, but look forward to doing so in short due.
