About cork
It takes many years before the farmers from the Portugal orchard harvest the barque from the cork oak. Every nine years a new barque grows back and supplies usable cork for many applications. Cork is a lightweight material that is not only quite strong but also water- and dirt repellent. Clean mud stains with a damp cloth and you are good to go.
