For the A Didas Layers Shoulder bag, multiple layers of vintage blankets are sewed together. For the bottom three layers and the other parts two layers. The eye-catching seams on the outside define the bag. The A Didas Layers Shoulderbag has one inner pocket with a zipper and long leather handles. Typical for the Blanky Bags are the soft wool colors and patterns that blend in with each other. Apart from its functionality, the bag is beautiful and a unique example too; it can be your inseparable accessory for a long time.
Handmade with love
For this particular bag we cut the parts of 11 different vintage blankets and sewed layer for layer by hand together before assembling the bag with the sewing machine. After that we trim the seams straight to create that layered look on the edges. Then we wash & felt the bag with hot water and olive soap, rinse it well with cold water, and spin-dry it to get rid of most the water, mould it in shape and let it dry over night. The next day the leather handles are treated with dubbin.
